Implementing the YE programmes requires the dedicated support of an army of
volunteers including past achievers, business advisers, link teachers and
members who hail from educational institutions, sponsors and private
individuals who share the ideals and aims of the Organisation.
Members
Members of Young Enterprise share our vision to inspire and educate young
people to understand and value the role of business. Through their
contribution, members actively participate in the development of the next
generation of business leaders. Besides, as eligible voters of the General
Assembly, members have the right to decide and shape the Organisation's future.
Members also help the Organisation financially by contributing a Lm10 annual
membership fee.
Business Advisor
The role of 'Business Adviser' is one of the most important within the Young
Enterprise structure as it provides a direct link for the students to a person
with direct experience of the business world. The Young Enterprise programmes
are based on the principle of "learning by doing" and revolve around the
sharing of practical business experience acquired by business people to the
benefit of young people. In turn business volunteers have the opportunity to
develop and hone their own management skills in a real working environment; in
particular communication, interpersonal and team working skills. To enroll as
Business Advisers, you must have at least three years business experience.
Volunteer
The dedication, commitment and enthusiasm of volunteers is the lifeline of this
Organisation. All activities organised throughout all young enterprise
programmes is the result of the hard-work and coordination of the
Organisation's organising and events committees composed almost entirely of
ex-achievers volunteering their time and energy. Teamwork, fun, entertainment,
friendships, are all ingredients which attract and inspire volunteers to get
together year in year out to provide current achievers those memorable
experiences witnessed by themselves when participating in the programmes.
